1. About IBDLens

IBDLens is a personal health tracking application designed to help people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) log their symptoms, medications, diet, and other health data. IBDLens also allows users to generate PDF reports to share with their healthcare providers.

2. Health Disclaimer

IBDLens is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The information, trends, correlations, and reports generated by IBDLens are based solely on the data you enter and are intended for informational purposes only. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult your gastroenterologist or qualified healthcare provider with any questions about your medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or seen in IBDLens.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the health data you enter.
• You must not share your account credentials with others.

4. Your Data

You own your data. IBDLens does not claim any ownership over the health data, logs, or reports you create. You can export your data at any time via PDF reports, and you can request deletion of all your data by deleting your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use IBDLens for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without our written permission.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep IBDLens available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss of data or inconvenience caused by downtime.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service or engage in abusive behaviour.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IBDLens and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

In particular, IBDLens is not liable for any health decisions made based on data, trends, or reports generated by the application. You use IBDLens at your own risk and are solely responsible for your medical decisions.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice within the app. Your continued use of IBDLens after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of IBDLens shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction in which the service operator resides.
